Recognition of
Prior Learning
Your Experience. Your Knowledge. Your Next Step.
At the Construction and Economics Management Institute (CEMI), we recognise that learning takes place through both formal education and practical experience.
What is RPL?
Recognition of Prior Learning
Through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, relevant knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience may be assessed and recognised for admission to selected CEMI courses and programmes.
Why RPL?
Your pathway to advancement
RPL provides eligible students with an opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and experience and to access learning opportunities aligned with their professional development and career goals.
Recognised Credentials
Your workplace learning and experience counts towards formal SAQA-registered qualifications.
Save Time
RPL may reduce the time needed to complete your qualification by recognising what you already know.
Your Knowledge Counts
Skills gained outside the classroom — on the job, through life experience — are formally recognised.
Clear Career Pathway
RPL opens doors to NQF Level 5 – 8 professional designation pathways with SACAP, SACPMP and PMSA.
At CEMI, we recognise the value of what you already know.
